SOCLA (www.socla.co) is comprised of approximately 800 active members from 14 Latin American countries, most of them researchers, professors, and agricultural extentionists and students involved in research, teaching, advocacy and the diffusion of agroecology throughout the region. In recognition of the dynamic processes taking place in the Americas, SOCLA and Food First/Institute for Food and Development Policy of Oakland, California have decided to co-establish a North America Regional Chapter of SOCLA.
By linking the hundreds of researchers and practitioners of agroecology in North America with the SOCLA network as a whole, we can scale up the flow of information, ideas, cross-movement collaboration, and political projects. Together, we’ll connect food justice and food sovereignty across the North and South American continents, enriching and building a network for agroecology. Join today!
